Title: When native species become invasive

Brief Introduction to Professor Weihong Ji：

Weihong Ji received her bachelor's degree in biology from Lanzhou University in 1984, master's degree in biology from Northwestern University in 1987, and Ph.D. in environmental science from the University of Auckland in New Zealand in 2001. She had her postdoctoral training in the Department of Environmental Sciences at York University in the United Kingdom from 2002 to 2004. She is currently the director of the Department of Human and Wildlife Relations in the School of Natural and Mathematical Sciences at Massey University. She is also a member of the editorial board of the international academic journals "Wildlife Research" and "Grassland Science". She is a visiting professor at Northwestern University and Gansu Agricultural University; and a reviewer of key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Her research interests include wildlife behavioral ecology, the impact of human activities on wildlife populations and behaviors, and conflicts between wildlife and humans. She has published more than 100 papers in top journals such as Nature, Nature Communications, Behavioral Ecology, and Animal Behaviour.
