on June 10, selection interview of 2017 biology top-notch class was held in the 505 Lecture Hall of Yifu Biological Building. Thirty-five students from five schools participated in the interview. The interviewing experts consisted of 12 professors. On the basis of self-statement, each student was divided into groups and conducted a "Leaderless Group Discussion". The experts recorded and evaluated the students' ability of interpersonal cooperation, organizational coordination, language expression and communication, problem analysis and logical thinking according to the students' performance.

According to the results of psychological tests, written tests, experimental examinations and interviews, about 20 students will be admitted to "CuiYing College", which is implemented by the "Top-Notch Training Experimental Program for Basic Subjects"

Lanzhou University is one of the 16 Universities has the biology direction of the National "Top-Notch Training Experimental Program for Basic Subjects", and has trained five graduates since 2010. All graduates go abroad or enter high-level universities and research institutes in China for postgraduate study.
